Harvester of Sofia continuous with the series of interviews with the chapterheads of different local chapters all over the world and some crazy Metallca fans.  Our next guest is the Chapterhead of one of the closest Chapters to Bulgaria – Sonia from HellasMetallica.

HOS: What is your name (nickname), where are you from and your position it the local chapter?

Sonia: My name is Sonia Gerogianni, I am from Greece and I am the Chapterhead (President) of the Greek Metclub Chapter, HELLASMETALLICA

HOS: When was the first time you have heard Metallica and which song?

Sonia: The first time I heard a Metallica song was back at 1987, and it was “Seek and Destroy”

HOS: Your favorite album or song? And explain why?

Sonia: My all time favorite album is LOAD and my all time favorite song is UNTIL IT SLEEPS..just because it speaks straight to my soul.

HOS: When and where you have seen Metallica Live? Which one is your personal favorite? And how many concerts you want to see in the future?

Sonia: I’ve seen Metallica in Athens Greece 2007, Rock am Ring Germany 2008, Berlin Germany 2008, Stockholm Sweeden 2009, Copenhagen Denmark (2 shows) 2009. Each and every show was awesome!!! I plan to see as many Metallica shows as possible in the future!!!

HOS: Where are the craziest Metallica fans you’ve ever met?

Sonia: Well…Greek fans are crazy!! But really, are there any Metallica fans that ARE NOT crazy about them????

HOS: Would you take the offer to work for Metallica if they ask you to?

Sonia: ABSOLUTELY YES!!!!

HOS: If it was up to you what would you change in the live performance of Metallica?

Sonia: Nothing, they are the best live band I’ve ever seen.

HOS: If I have never been at a metallica show how you..ll convince me to go?

Sonia: I would show you the video of the 2007 concert in Athens Greece!!!

HOS: When did you join the MetClub and when was born the idea for the local chapter?

Sonia: It was on 2006 when me and some dear friends decided that Greece should have a local chapter

HOS: What is the main purpose of your local chapter?

Sonia: To bring together all metallifans, to keep best contact between the band and the fans and…as we always say KEEP IT TRUE – KEEP IT METAL.

HOS: What attendances do you give for the local chapter for its development and popularization and for all members of your local chapter?

Sonia: We have parties and live gigs, we have lotteries with awesome Metallica stuff, we advertise on internet and radio and tv stations. Registration is free and anyone can join the Greek Metclub Chapter through our web site www.hellasmetallica.com

HOS: Do you know something for Bulgaria? Would you say something special to the members of HOS?

Sonia: Well, I know that it’s a pretty country (it’s so close to Greece, so many people travel to and from!!!) and I would like to thank you guys from Harvester of Sofia for the awesome time during the preshow party before the Sofia 2008 Metallica show.
